At Hatched, we believe great design and smart development go hand in hand. We’re looking for a versatile and ambitious Junior WordPress Developer / Graphic Designer to join our team. This is a hybrid role for someone who’s as comfortable designing a website as they are building it – someone who can bring both creative flair and technical know-how to the table.

About the Role

In this dual role, you’ll contribute to both the creative and technical sides of our digital projects. You’ll design visual assets and layouts for web and digital platforms, then bring them to life in WordPress. You’ll work closely with our designers, developers, and strategists to create engaging and effective user experiences across a range of client sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design digital assets including website layouts, UI components, social graphics, and email templates
  • Develop responsive WordPress websites from approved designs using clean, modern code
  • Support in website updates, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure accurate implementation and brand consistency
  • Work across both internal and client-facing projects, from concept to execution
  • Stay updated on web and design trends, best practices, and emerging tools
  • Contribute ideas and creative input to briefs and planning sessions

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree or diploma in Web/Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field – or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, XD or Figma)
  • Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and basic PHP/JavaScript
  • Familiarity with WordPress (themes, page builders, plugins, CMS structure)
  • Good eye for typography, layout, and digital design best practices
  • A proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
  • A portfolio showcasing both design and development work is essential
