About the Role
As a Junior WordPress Developer, you’ll work closely with our design and strategy teams to bring websites to life – from wireframes and prototypes through to fully responsive, SEO-friendly WordPress builds. You’ll support the technical side of our digital projects while learning and evolving your craft with every brief.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in the development of custom WordPress websites using modern, maintainable, clean code
- Convert Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Illustrator or XD designs into responsive, user-friendly web pages
- Support the team in testing, debugging, and maintaining websites
- Collaborate with designers and strategists to ensure pixel-perfect, brand-aligned execution
- Learn and implement best practices in performance, accessibility, and SEO
- Keep up with the latest WordPress plugins, tools, and development trends
- Provide technical input during planning and brainstorm sessions
What We’re Looking For
- A degree, diploma, or demonstrable self-taught experience in Web Development, Computer Science, or similar
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (vanilla), and PHP
- Familiarity with WordPress theme development and popular page builders (e.g. Elementor, Gutenberg)
- Knowledge of Git/version control and local development environments
- An eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced studio
- A collaborative attitude and excellent problem-solving skills
- A strong eye for detail when building front-end layouts and components
Bonus Points For
- Experience with WooCommerce, ACF, or REST API integrations
- Experience with non-Wordpress CMS platforms such as Kentico, Wix, Shopify or similar
- Knowledge of the Tailwind CSS framework
- Experience working with Javascript libraries such as GSAP
- Knowledge of design systems and UX/UI principles
- Familiarity working with LLMs and agentic coding tools such as Codex
- Familiarity with technical SEO and AI search, and how structured content supports visibility in search and AI-driven results
