Hatched Agency Sponsors Chard RFC Girls Section
Hatched Agency is proud to announce its new role as front-of-shirt sponsor for the girls’ section of Chard RFC for the 2025/26 season.
This sponsorship will provide essential resources to support the growth of the girls’ teams, helping encourage the next generation of female athletes to take up rugby and thrive both on and off the field.
Gavin Sadler, Managing Director of Hatched Agency, said:
“By supporting the girls’ teams at Chard RFC, we hope to inspire future female rugby players and contribute to the growth of women’s rugby — building on the success of the Red Roses at this year’s Rugby World Cup.”
Hatched’s partnership with Chard RFC complements its ongoing sponsorship of North Petherton RFC and broader support for Somerset Rugby, reflecting the agency’s commitment to grassroots sport and community development across the county.
The sponsorship aligns with the Star Scheme, a charity initiative that helps disadvantaged children access rugby by covering transport, fees, and kit. Since its pilot during the pandemic at Chew Valley Rugby Club, the scheme has expanded to nearly 1,100 children across 60 clubs.
Dan Wooler, founder of Star Scheme, said:
“It’s incredibly moving to see the tangible difference rugby can make in people’s lives. We’re making the sport accessible to communities who wouldn’t normally have access to a rugby club.”
Chard RFC has been a key participant in the scheme. Gavin Watts, Chair of Chard RFC, described the scheme as “life-changing”, highlighting the positive impact on disadvantaged communities and young people’s mental wellbeing.
Hatched Agency is thrilled to play a role in this journey, helping bring rugby to girls who may not have had the chance to play before and contributing to the growth of women’s rugby in Somerset.
