Future Leaders Programme
Gavin recently joined the Future Leaders Programme as the expert speaker for a session focused on marketing, brand awareness, and customer journey. The session brought together future professionals who are building the skills, confidence, and commercial awareness needed to take their next steps in business.
With organisations like SS&L championing practical learning and ILM setting the standard for leadership and management development, programmes like this play a valuable role in helping people connect ideas with real-world action. Gavin’s session was built around one big theme: good marketing starts with clarity. From understanding what a brand really stands for, to thinking carefully about how customers discover, experience, and remember a business, the conversation centred on practical ideas people could take away and use straight away.
There was plenty of engagement throughout the session, with strong discussion, thoughtful questions, and lots of those lightbulb moments where things started to click. It wasn’t about marketing jargon or theory for theory’s sake. It was about making brand and customer journey thinking feel useful, relevant, and easier to apply in the real world. Topics included how businesses can build stronger brand awareness, why consistency matters, and how a clearer customer journey can help turn interest into action.
Gavin also shared practical examples to help bring those ideas to life, making the session feel grounded, approachable, and genuinely useful for the people in the room. At Hatched, we know that strong brands are built by people who understand how to communicate clearly and connect with the right audience.
That’s why opportunities like this matter. Supporting future talent, sharing practical experience, and helping people think more confidently about brand and marketing is always time well spent. A big thank you to everyone involved in the Future Leaders Programme, and to the learners who brought such great energy to the session. We’re proud to be part of it.
