Rural schools have always struggled with attracting pupils who are outside of their village and now with Schools closed due to the pandemic school’s are finding it even more of a challenge. The headteacher at Stoke St Gregory came to us with a challenge. They wanted to let people know that they are a mixed school of boys and girls offering a fantastic education in a rural setting.

Challenge:

The headteacher at Stoke St Gregory came to us with a challenge. They wanted to let people know that they are a mixed school of boys and girls offering a fantastic education in a rural setting. The School are passionate about their ethos, values but felt their existing website and communications didn’t portray this.

Solution:

After spending time with the school we were able to work out what was needed. A number of areas needed to be addressed, we created an action plan. Time was spent getting to know the school and the school community. This gave us a clear insight into what was needed. Working with Stoke St Gregory we modernised their school identity, created a new branding style and created a film that showcased the various aspects of school life. This core film and branding could bed used on their website and to prospective parents. By filming interviews we were able to get real and honest sound-bites from the head, teachers and pupils.

Results:

The school were really happy with all their branding and video. The new branding reflects the vibrancy of the school and the video encapsulates what it’s like to be a pupil there. Then, for parent’s who want to learn more, they can watch a series of different videos that delve deeper into school life.
